The main concerns of Iranian youth today include the high divorce rate, rise in average marriage age and a couple’s unwillingness to have children, said Mahmoud Golzari, deputy minister of sports and youth affairs, adding that the “rate of cohabitation of unmarried couples or ‘white marriages’ is not high.” At present, a divorced woman’s chances of remarriage “is very low. This cultural problem can be addressed through raising people’s awareness,” he said, reports Khabaronline.
