Apparel Show in Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey’s cultural and historical center, will host the Iranian fashion event ‘Persian New Style Vision’ from December 20-24.

The event aims to demonstrate creativity and ability of Iranian designers in Turkey, and introduce Iranian and Islamic styles. It also seeks to establish a link between designers from the two sides, Honaronline quoted Hamid Qobadi, head of the Iranian Working Group for Organizing Fashion and Clothing, as saying.

Prominent fashion agencies, clothing brands, fashion academies and organizations involved in the field of fashion and design, will participate.

The event comprises three sections, including an educational conference and workshop that focuses on ‘Innovative Techniques in World Fashion’ and ‘Using Urban Elements in Design.’ Meetings to arrange trips to Tehran to develop future cooperation in the field will also be held, according to Iranmodeonline.com.

Over 250 designs by 50 Iranian designers will be held at the fashion show. In addition, meetings will be arranged with Turkish investors and clothing manufacturers interested in developing tie-ups with Iranian designers.

The top designs selected will be published in a journal with easy access to a small database including the best works presented at the exhibition.

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance has approved the fashion event which seeks to encourage cooperation and sharing of mutual knowledge in the apparel industry between Iran and Turkey.

The event will be held at DoubleTree by Hilton, an American hotel chain.
