The ‘Tehran Spring Urban Art Annual’ issued a call on December 22 inviting artists to present their works of art in different fields.
Co-organized by the Tehran Municipality and the Organization of Tehran Beautification, the event is focused on graphic, painting, mural, environmental and volume works of art under the theme of spring, Mehr News Agency reported.
Until April 20, 2016, art entries will be received and adjudged. The selected works will be displayed in urban spaces.
Event secretary, Seyed Mojtaba Mousavi said a main purpose of the annual event is to provide an opportunity to visitors to view the installation process of the artworks.
“Due to the timeframe for the works, it is an occasion to make use of appropriate materials for the artworks,” he said.
Restoration of old art projects and removing low quality works are among the future plans of municipality, Mousavi added.
A 15-member jury committee will judge the submitted works.
