The West does not pursue the goal of weakening the Russian economy through sanctions, German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier said at a conference organized by the newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung on Thursday, Itar Tass said. When asked, if the West was pursuing the goal of producing a negative impact on the Russian economy, Steinmeier said, “My clear answer is no.”
