Iranian photographers won one award and two honorable mentions at the Trofeo Gipuzkoa International, a Spanish festival of photography. Under the auspices of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) and the Photography Society of America, the competition was held last week in three categories, namely color, black and white and monochrome with free topics in Gipuzkoa Province, IRNA reported. Davoud Ameri won the Spanish Confederation of Photography (CEF) silver medal for his photo 'The Place I Lost My Leg' in the color category, Mohammad Reza Masoumi won a FIAP honorable mention for 'Ahoora' in monochrome category and Saman Pourkhoshamuz's 'Alambandan' won a CEF honorable mention in black and white category. FIAP (the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique) is an international organization of national associations of photography and has more than 85 members. CEF (the Confederación Española de Fotografía) was launched in 1986. Its aim is to bring together those interested in the art of photography in Spain and promote the art and artists.
