Tehran-based Fanni Publication has released the children’s title ‘Journey of the Smileless Man’ by writer and translator Masoud Malak-Yari.
The new title is about preserving nature and tells the story of a man who makes a living by hunting animals. One day he wakes up to see his only daughter has deserted home. This time he sets out on a different journey through the jungle, to find and bring her back. On his way, he makes friends with many animals he used to chase and hunt.
It is written for readers between 10 and 14 years old, and Mahboubeh Esfandiari has done the illustrations.
