Gando Tour will take enthusiasts to Markazi Province on Sunday where they will visit a natural attraction and an archaeological site.
Two major destinations of the trip are Chal-Nakhjir Cave in Delijan County and Khurheh Temple in Mahallat.
Meeting place is 7 Tir Square in central Tehran. The tour leaves at 5 am and will be back by 10 pm. Participants are required to bring ID card. Details of the program are available at Gandotours.com.
The limestone cave of Chal-Nakhjir, said to be 70 million years old, was discovered in 1989. Parts of it, including an underground lake, are now tourist attractions.
Khurheh Temple is famous for its two Ionic columns standing strong since the Parthian era (247 BC-224 AD). There is evidence indicating human presence at the site since 2000 BC.
