The Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults, also known as Kanoon, has prepared various plans for the National Children’s Week (October 7-13).
Head of the institute, Alireza Hajianzadeh at a press conference said the first phase of children’s electronic portal will be inaugurated on the occasion. The website is specific to photography and painting competitions for children and young adults of all ages, IRNA reported.
The website includes practical information related to mental and verbal development of children that can also be useful for parents and school teachers, he said.
On the opening day of the 7-day event, children will start their journey by a special train giving them an opportunity to meet and have a conversation with their favorite authors, poets and illustrators.
In addition, exhibitions will be held at the art and cultural center of the IIDCYA, including an international puppet exhibition. Activists in reading and book industry will be honored. In addition, equipping libraries in rural areas in collaboration with MehrGity Institution is among the programs slated for the upcoming event.
The National Children’s Week provides an opportunity for kids to participate and interact with peers in their innocent colorful world. The theme of this year’s edition is ‘The world is beautiful with children’s smile.’
