Invitation for Architecture Proposals

A call has been issued for architects to present their designs for a commercial-administrative center in Tehran. Organized by the Tehran-based Farayesh School of Architecture, the event will select the best design for a planned commercial and administrative building at the northwestern corner of Kargar Street and Keshavarz Blvd. intersection in central Tehran, Memarnews.com reported.  Proposed designs should include a 5-storey underground parking lot, three floors for commercial space (including one underground floor), six floors of administrative space, restaurants in two floors as well as a roof garden and cafe. Those interested should submit their proposals latest by Jan. 6, 2018.  Architects Iraj Kalantari, Nashid Nabian, Hooman Balazadeh and Amir Hossein Taheri will select the best designs on Jan. 13. Three best works will receive cash prizes. The top three winners will be awarded $10,000, $6250 and $3750 respectively. Designs should be sent to the competition secretary as a package, including on paper, plans designed with Autocad 3D software, front view design, implementation details including proposed construction material, a maquette (optional), a concept, and physical data on A4 paper. The intellectual property rights of the engineers and designers will be respected in the competition process.  Submitted designs will be shown in an exhibition slated for January 21 to February 1, 2018 at the Interior/Exterior Design and Architecture Employers Association, in Saeedi Street, Elahieh neighborhood, northern Tehran.
