Thirteen Iranian photographers were among the winners of International Kyrgyzstan Photo Philharmonic Festival.
According to the website of the event philharmonia.photo, the festival in Bishkek was held in six categories, namely open monochrome, open color, people, child, portrait and music. Names of the winners were announced last week.
In the people section, Omid Shekari won the Focus Photo Club (FPC) gold medal for his photo ‘café’, and the International Association of Architectural Photographers (IAAP) silver medal went to Davoud Ameri for his photo ‘Money for Me’.
The photo ‘Soiree’ by Amin Dehqan was announced as winner of FIAP gold medal in the same category. FIAP is the International Federation of Photographic Art.
Majid Hojati and Sajjad Zolfaqari both were granted a FIAP ribbon, for their works works ‘Mil’ and ‘Nightfall Train’ respectively.
Zolfaqari also was one of the two Iranian winners in the child category for his photo ‘Toy’. He took the FIAP gold medal. Mohammad Varvani-Farahani was another Iranian winner in the section who was granted FPC bronze medal for his work ‘Wall Ender’.
‘Pretty Horse’ by Fatemeh Hosseini-Lahiji was the only Iranian winner in the open color category, and was granted the FIAP ribbon.
‘Dance of Lor Women’ by Darioush Qanbarnasab-Behbahani and ‘Hesar Chal’ by Ehsan Nik-Farjam won FPC bronze medal and IAAP gold medal respectively in the open color section.
In the portrait section, Fatemeh Rezaei-Morad was granted FIAP ribbon for her ‘Final Point’.
Asghar Besharati’s ‘Celebration’ won the FPC gold in the music category, while the FIAP gold medal in the section went to Abdolrahman Mojarad’s ‘The Sound of Nature’. ‘Dream’ by Majid Hojjati and ‘Music’ by Bahador Mottaki also won the FIAP ribbons.
