Painter Hengameh Najjarbashi has set up a solo painting exhibition depicting human faces. Her solo show ‘The Face’ at Melal Gallery in Tehran features a series of human heads and faces in a state of deterioration, Gallery Info reported. There are 30 mixed-media paintings on display. “My paintings seek to show pain and loneliness.” They are “wounded souls and faces, deteriorated irreversibly.” Najjarbashi, 47, said in a note on her exhibit. The Face opened January 14 and will end January 20. Melal Gallery is located near Qeytarieh Park in north Tehran.
