Folk singer Kourosh Asadpour, accompanied by Gahar Music Ensemble, will perform a concert of Lurish music (ethnic music of western and southwestern regions in Iran) in Tehran.
The event is slated for February 23 at Andisheh Hall of Art Bureau (Howzeh Honari), affiliated to the Islamic Development Organization, Honaronline reported.
Asadpour will perform eight pieces selected from among the most famous Lurish folk songs.
Gahar music ensemble is led by Mohsen Keyhannejad who will be playing percussions. The band members include Mehran Torkzaban on kamancheh, Arash Hashemi on tar, Maziar Faraji on oud, Hossein Bahrami on ney, Babak Shekari on tonbak, while Milad Daval will be playing daf.
