Azad Art Gallery is showing a collection of paintings by Behnaz Qasemi.
Titled ‘Life, Dream and Fascination’, it is a display of a series of paintings and drawings inspired by Persian literature including poems by 13th-century poet Rumi, poet, theoretician of Sufism and hagiographer Attar of Nishabur (1145-1221); and poet Sa’di of Shiraz (1213-1291).
Her technique is color pencil on paper. Birds, floral designs and vases are among her subjects. Qasemi has sought to demonstrate the ever-changing nature of life, Tiwall.com reported.
The exhibit will run through April 17. Azad Art Gallery is located at No. 5, Salmas Sq., Fat’hi Shaqaqi St., Asad-Abadi Street.
