Dastan Art Gallery in Tehran opened on Friday an exhibition of photographs taken by Bahman Kioarostami, son of the late auteur and photographer Abbas Kiarostami (1940-2016).
Titled “Golshahr” (city of flowers), photos will remain on show through May 18, Tandismag.com reported.
Most photos depict the earth and are presented on the floor. Thorn bushes and clay bricks can also be seen in some of the minimal photos.
Bahman had on display at the same venue last year a collection of 60 photos he had taken from the Afghan workers in Lavasanat district in northeast Tehran.
Also a filmmaker, Bahman, 39, has so far directed nine documentaries and one film titled “Journey to the Land of the Traveler”. Released in 1997, the film was co-written by the senior Kiarostami, filmmaker Jafar Panahi, French director and screenwriter Jean-Pierre Limosin and actor Hassan Darabi.
