Last season contenders Moqavemat Golsapoosh and Lokomotiv Moscow will vie again in the final game of the Eurasia Beach Soccer Cup which will decide the competition winner.
Once again, the two Iranian and Russian teams will fight for the Eurasia Beach Soccer Cup gold in the decider of the competition following their wins on Monday, Beachsoccer.com reported.
Two teams’ victories kept both sides on top of the table, with no options for Levante of Spain and Catania from Italy.
Moqavemat had to suffer and work hard to finally clinch a narrow 4-3 win over Catania.
The Iranian side overcame the Catanesi’s lead, turning score around to 3-1. The Italian side scored another goal in the beginning of the third period, but Moqavemat restored the two-goal gap three minutes later.
Catania fought back with one more goal but the game finished with the same score and the three points remained on Moqavemat’s hands.
Lokomotiv Moscow beat Levante 6-4. The Muscovite took care of business in the first leg of the game, getting 3-0 before the first break.
The Russian team made it 4-0 in the second period, and that seemed to spur Levante’s will. However Levante cut distance in half, but Lokomotiv replied in the beginning of the third period, making it 6-2.
The latter efforts by the Spaniards, with two new hits, were not enough to upset Lokomotiv, which confirmed themselves as one of the candidates.
